Jan Ullrich is back in public after his drug crash in 2018.
Ex-cyclist Jan Ullrich, 47, has had hard times: In 2018, the 47-year-old was arrested after he rioted on the Mallorcan estate of actor Til Schweiger, 57. A short time later, a prostitute claimed that Ullrich had strangled her while intoxicated with drugs until she passed out. His wife had already separated from him beforehand. Ullrich was ordered to withdraw before he could see his children again. The 47-year-old publicly admitted in an interview with RTL that he had a drug problem and went through withdrawal.

Now Jan Ullrich seems to be doing better and he is back in public. In a bike center in his hometown of Merdingen, the 47-year-old talks about his past: “I had a very difficult phase. Fortunately, I’ve now got it over with”. Today the 47-year-old looks healthy and even smiles at the cameras.
Ullrich also seems to want to spend his future in his homeland, as he reported at the event: “I’m very happy to be back in Merdingen. I really want to build something here. This is my home. This is where my daughter became born here I have my friends “. It seems like the 1997 Tour de France winner is on the mend!
