Frankfurt “crime scene” investigators are calling it quits
Brix and Janneke alias Wolfram Koch and Margarita Broich are leaving the “Tatort” universe.

The Frankfurt “crime scene” investigative team Janneke and Brix will be seen for the last time in 2024. This was announced by Hessischer Rundfunk.
The Hessian “crime scene” investigative team Anna Janneke and Paul Brix from Frankfurt will have their last mission next year. As the responsible Hessischer Rundfunk announced on Tuesday, it will end after 19 cases. Filming for the last outing of the two actors Wolfram Koch (61) and Margarita Broich (63) has just been completed. There is currently no exact date for the film “It’s so green when Frankfurt’s mountains bloom”. The two have been investigating together since 2014.
The two actors also have their say in the corresponding message. For Broich, the missions at Frankfurt were “Tatort” “pure pleasure”. It was also clear that she would only say goodbye to the crime series together with Koch. They have known each other for many years, including from joint theater engagements. “Now it’s time Time to say goodbye to Frankfurt, because we want to set off again, other projects, more theater and for me also more photography and a little more time for the grandchildren,” said Broich in her statement.
For Koch, a “very nice, years-long journey” is coming to an end. It was always “great fun working together and spending time” with his colleague Broich: “We all became a family. His thanks also and above all go to the viewers. “Now we’re off on new journeys – I’m looking forward to it on it,” continued Koch.
The successor to Broich and Koch has not yet been determined
As was also announced, investigations continue to be carried out in Frankfurt am Main and the surrounding area as part of the “Tatort” series, but a new team has not yet been determined. Who will succeed the two outgoing commissioners will be decided at the beginning of 2024. Chief Detective Frank Steier, played by Joachim Król (66), investigated Janneke and Brix from 2011 to 2015. Król was supported by Nina Kunzendorf (52) from 2011 to 2013.
