Jean-Luc Lahaye case: why his daughter Margaux risks indictment

Jean-Luc Lahaye has been imprisoned since the beginning of November in the prison of Health in Paris, after an indictment for “rape of minors”. It would seem that his eldest daughter, Margaux, is also involved in the case.

The singer Jean-Luc Lahaye, star of the 1980s, is not expected to return to the stage anytime soon. Last November he was indicted for “rape of minors” following complaints from two former admirers. He has since been imprisoned in the prison of La Santé. It is now his eldest daughter, Margaux, aged 37, who could also have to deal with justice. Already heard in November, she had returned to her home for medical reasons. But according to information from Parisian, she should be heard on Monday, January 24, by an examining magistrate. An interrogation that could lead to an indictment for “subordination of witnesses”. Indeed, she is suspected of having influenced one of her father’s victims, so that she exonerates him.

During her first police custody, Margaux had admitted the facts, but claimed to have acted under pressure from her father. He would have manipulated her, swearing that his relationship with the girl was only virtual. Emails sent to the teenager had been found in Margaux’s computer. He’s not the only person to be summoned to court. Always according to The Parisian, the mothers of the two complainants should also be heard for “non-denunciation of a crime”. It would seem that they were aware of the relations that their daughters had with the singer. One of them would have even filmed the antics.

Complaints that relaunch the investigation

If the facts took place between 2013 and 2018, it was in the spring of 2021 that the victims filed a complaint against the singer for facts that took place when they were minors. At the time, Jean-Luc Lahaye had been worried by the justice for his pornographic exchanges with one of them. But the latter had not filed a complaint, claiming to be at the initiative of the messages and images. Now 23, she admits having made these statements under the influence of Jean-Luc Lahaye and his daughter.
