In the series “The Morning Show” they are rivals – private best friends. GALA tells how Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston rave about each other.
Both are real Hollywood sweethearts, enchant their fans, are well connected and support other women in the entertainment industry. Since 2019, they have also been playing together in the Apple TV+ hit series “The Morning Show”, which they also produce. But above all, they are Jennifer Aniston54, and Reese Witherspoon, 47, always there for each other. “As friends, we share every heartbreak in life and love,” explains Jennifer in a double interview with the US magazine “Variety”.

It’s been 23 years since the women met on the set of the sitcom “Friends.” Jennifer was one of them Rachel Green Among the six stars of the legendary series, Reese played her little sister. An omen for their relationship even away from the cameras.
A sisterly relationship
“I admired her from the start. Everything seemed so incredibly easy for her,” says Reese, who brought her month-old daughter Ava to the set at the time. “I was a baby with a baby. And Jen was so sweet to me, calming me down when I was nervous, taking care of me.” She still looks up to her to this day.
Conversely, Jennifer calls her friend her “sunshine” and enthuses: “I don’t know how Reese manages everything. She’s one of the most productive people I’ve ever met, unbelievable.” In fact, Reese Witherspoon, now a mother of three, not only acts, she produces films, has a successful book club and founded the fashion and interior design brand “Draper James”. “I have the energy of a squirrel that has drunk coffee,” she says.
After failed marriages: The women remain loyal to each other
Power women drink coffeeactually like to start the day. And if their schedules allow it, they arrange to go jogging through Runyon Canyon. The park offers stunning views of the Hollywood Hills and the Santa Monica Mountains and is a popular work-out area for many Los Angeles stars. They are always there for each other
Jennifer is an extremely loyal friend, says Reese, and you can count on her. “She writes cards, sends little tokens and lets you know she’s thinking about you.” She values Jennifer as a good advisor. “I was only in my early 20s when my career began. Jen was often the only person I could call when things got overwhelming. She is a wonderful listener and understands everything,” says Reese.
Before she and her second husband Jim Toth split in March of this year, Reese confided in Jen. And when the ex was spotted a little later with a new friend half her age, her “big sister” was there. In the past few weeks, Reese Witherspoon has been able to give her a lot back emotionally. Jennifer’s close friend Matthew Perryonce a “Friends” colleague, died in October. A shock, a tragedy. Reese stood by Jennifer.
Cat alarm, competitive spirit? None!
It is very important to both stars to support other women in the business and learn from each other. Jennifer Aniston also produces films herself and has Hollywood’s most successful ladies behind her: Sandra Bullock59, Julia Roberts56, Courteney Cox59, Kate Hudson44, Kerry Washington, 46, and Reese Witherspoon. “We’ve started a Chick Club now,” she says. Why? “It was about time.”
