John Wick 4 sees its release postponed for a year! The expected sequel to the franchise starring Keanu Reeves (currently showing on Matrix Resurrections) runs from May 2022 to March 2023, as a short video teaser has just revealed.

Be seeing you“(“We’ll see each other soon“) says the John Wick 4 teaser, with a nod to part 3 of the film … But the bad news is on the board we see in this short video: 03.24.2023 .. .

This very short teaser indeed announces the new release date of the film, a postponement of almost a year. Originally dated May 25, 2022, John Wick: Chapter 4 will finally land on March 24, 2023.

The reason for this delay was not specified. We thought the filming of the film ended last November, but according to Deadline, additional shots would be planned in Japan. Still according to Deadline, this postponement could be explained by the wish not to be faced with Top Gun 2.

We also know that a chapter 5 of the film is already planned.

Nothing from the synopsis has filtered out yet. The cast has however been revealed, at least in part: Keanu Reeves will of course be back, with, to surround him, Rina Sawayama, Donnie Yen, Shamier Anderson, Bill Skarsgård, Laurence Fishburne, Hiroyuki Sanada, Scott Adkins, Lance Reddick, Marko Zaror, Ian McShane and Clancy Brown.

In the meantime, we can find Keanu Reeves at the moment on the bill for another eagerly awaited sequel, that of Matrix, the fourth installment released yesterday in France.
