Jonathan Pryce: Will "The Crown" follow "Game of Thrones"?

Jonathan Pryce could soon be seen in a royal role. The "GoT" star is said to have been cast as Prince Philip in "The Crown".

Jonathan Pryce (73) apparently follows Matt Smith (37) and Tobias Menzies (46). The actor, who played the role of the high sparrow in "Game of Thrones", will in future mime the Queen's husband Prince Philip in "The Crown". This is reported by the British tabloid "The Sun" and cites an insider who is not named.

Accordingly, the actor's name was the only one "who was in conversation for the role of Prince Philip". Pryce is said to be the 99-year-old Duke of Edinburgh in the two final seasons, alongside Imelda Staunton (64) as Queen Elizabeth II and Lesley Manville (64) as Princess Margaret. It is not yet known when seasons five and six of "The Crown" will appear. Season four is expected to premiere this fall.
