Joshua Kimmich has announced that he wants to be vaccinated against Covid-19. The Bayern player was infected at the end of November.

Joshua Kimmich (26) has now shown that he is ready for a corona vaccination. In an interview with “sportstudio reportage”, which will be broadcast on ZDF this Sunday (December 12th) at 5:10 pm, he shows his regret that he did not decide to take this step earlier, as ZDF did in advance reported.

“In general, it was difficult for me to deal with my fears and concerns, which is why I was undecided for so long,” said the Bayern player. In the interview, the national player should also comment on his state of health and his original vaccination concerns.

Big topic of the past weeks

The professional footballer had caused countless discussions over the past few weeks with his vaccination status. In October he made public that he had not yet been vaccinated against the virus and justified this with a lack of “long-term studies”.

According to media reports, national coach Hansi Flick (56) indicated after the controversy that the 26-year-old might want to be vaccinated. November 24th confirmed FC Bayern Munichthat Kimmich had tested positive for the corona virus. December 9th announced the associationthat the player will be absent until the end of the year after the quarantine “due to slight infiltrations in the lungs”.
