After she ended her career as a singer, things became quiet for Juliane Werding. But now the “On the day Conny Kramer died” interpreter has returned for the first time in years.

She achieved her breakthrough as a singer in 1972 with “On the day Conny Kramer died”. This was followed by other successful hits such as “If you think, you think, then you just think, you think” written by Gunter Gabriel, †75, “Night Full of Shadows” and “Voices in the Wind”. But at the end of the 2000s, Juliane Werding, 67, withdrew from the spotlight to lead a middle-class life. Now there is a sign of life for the first time in 15 years.

Juliane Werding: “I sometimes react a little bitchily”

In the booklet of a new CD entitled “Touching Life”, which contains 38 songs by the singer, there is also a personal greeting, like on a fan’s Facebook account you can see. “Dear ones, I don’t normally like compilations that much and sometimes react a bit bitchily to requests,” writes Werding. “I really like this combination.” The songs that she put together with the producer and composer Harald Steinhauer are “really very close to her heart,” she continues. “I’m looking forward to hearing the songs all in a row now.” She concludes her statement with the words: “Of course the pictures from the time in the studio will appear and everything else that happened in our lives… beautiful and difficult things. I’m excited. Let’s go on the journey together . Your Juliane.”

Most recently she worked as a naturopath

After Juliane Werding ended her career as a pop and pop singer in 2009, things became quiet around her. At the time, she didn’t rule out a comeback. “You should never say never. Anyone who has been infected with the Musicus virus cannot be cured,” she explained to “Merkur”. But the mother of two and native of Essen initially settled on Lake Starnberg and worked there as a naturopath. What exactly she is doing today cannot be found out. Details about her professional or personal life – unclear. The former pop star does not have a social media account and his personal website is no longer online. In 2018, according to Merkur, it said: “Juliane Werding is now working as a homeopath. In order to be able to fully concentrate on the work for the patients, she will not be releasing any CDs for the time being and will not be doing any tour dates, TV appearances or interviews .” A musical comeback did not follow – until today.

Juliane Werding has two children: son Gabriel was born in 1987, daughter Charis Maria was born in 1989. From 2001 to 2008 she was in a relationship with the theologian and journalist Uwe Birnstein, 62, and the marriage ended in divorce in 2012 after six years.
