Filip Pavlovic is the king of the jungle in 2022. In an interview he looks back on his time in the jungle camp.
In the end he prevailed against Manuel Flickinger (33) and Eric Stehfest (32): Filip Pavlovic (27) is the jungle king of the anniversary season of “I’m a Star – Get Me Out of Here!” (can also be seen on RTL+). The fact that the former “Bachelorette” candidate was able to win the crown and prize money of 100,000 euros in the grand finale on Saturday evening was “the greatest gift” for him, as he said in an interview with the news agency spot on news. He also reveals whether the title is a kind of satisfaction for him and what he will do first after his return to Germany.
They said that you are often underestimated and often have to prove yourself to other people. Does the title give you a certain satisfaction?
Filip Pavlovic: I wasn’t always taken seriously in the past, precisely because of my easy-going manner. I’m perhaps not the brightest candle on the cake and I’m a little screwed up. I believe that only when people really get to know me do they realize that I can also be different. With the Krone, the people out there gave me such great feedback. The best gift for me was that the audience gave me the crown.
In the middle, there was a conflict between you and Eric Stehfest. They both apparently agreed not to be friends anymore. How is the situation now?
Pavlovic: I already told Eric at the camp that we won’t be best friends anymore. Of course you have to say that the jungle is an exceptional situation. The emotions are going crazy. You take everything wrong or extreme. But we shook hands afterwards and we’re cool with each other.
You said after the win that your parents are proud of you. Who or what did you think of first when you won?
Pavlovic: To my parents and my sister. I also got the letter from them and then I had an emotional breakdown. I have a very good relationship with my parents and they also know what I’ve been through the last few months, so I also know that they are extremely happy for me and know what that means to me.
What is your advice to the participants of the next season?
Pavlovic: Just being who you are. I’ve also noticed now in the jungle that there are characters trying to be someone else. The hardest part is playing yourself. But viewers see if you’re real or not. You can play someone, but after three days every mask falls. If you feel like telling someone what you think, then you shouldn’t swallow because you’re afraid of getting a stamp from the viewers.
What will you do first when you are in Germany?
Pavlovic: I think I’ll go to McDonalds first. (laughs)
