On the night of Tuesday to Wednesday, it was on the Lost Ark Twitter account that gifs had surfacedwhich obviously teased some new things coming to the game from Amazon Games and Smilegate Studios in the future. As you probably already know, Lost Ark only recently released worldwide and first appeared in Korea, where the game includes way more content at present than western versions. So it didn’t take the players much time, cross-checking with what they knew from the Korean version, to predict that these two tweets indicated an upcoming release of an episode of Kadan’s story as well as Abyssal Raid: Argos.
This is confirmed today since Lost Ark has just announced that these two new elements will join Lost Ark during the month of March. First of all, so it’s a new episode of the story around Kadan that happens in the game.
Players will be able to discover a new scenario containing quests, new islands and cinematic moments. These quests will include a set of new characters and recurring characters. You will learn more about the Sidereals and go in search of the legendary Kadanthe first killer of Guardians, while continuing looking for the final ark. You will need to have completed Feiton as well as the quests “Yorn: Let There Be Light”, “Island of Whispers: The Beginning of Our Story” and “Island of Illusory Bamboo: The End of Trials”. before you can start the new end-game questlines. Isteri and Illusionary Bamboo Island are recommended for people having an item level of 1100.
It’s also the Abyssal Raid: Argos which will join Lost Ark during the month of March. These new, never-before-seen end-game activities will allow players, similar to Guardian Raids, work together with other players to defeat a Guardian within a time limitwhile only having a certain number of revives per team.
Abyssal raids will see eight people fight a guardian, but these guardians are bigger, badder and much tougher than the average guardian. You will have to go through three distinct phases while collaborating with your allies to defeat your colossal enemy. The guardian will gain in power and will have different offensive mechanics and behaviors with each phase. Each phase offers own rewards that can be obtained once a week and different level requirements for people wishing to participate.
Argos will be available from the Abyssal Raid Statue in larger cities.
With these novelties, should also arrive within the game other changes but also many bug fixes. The patch notes for this new version of Lost Ark will be available in the coming days on the game site.
