The Internet star Kai Cenat caused a large-scale operation involving over 1,000 police officers in New York through a thoughtless action.

With an action previously announced on the Internet, the US Internet star Kai Cenat (21) caused chaos, a large-scale police operation and several arrests. The successful influencer had called on his numerous fans to meet him on Friday (August 4) at Union Square Park in the New York borough of Manhattan. In addition to his presence, he also promised to distribute various gifts, such as game consoles, to his followers.

Within a very short time, thousands of people gathered there, as pictures show, the US broadcaster CBS is available. When the star didn’t appear even after a long wait, the mood quickly changed: people began to riot, knocked over barriers, stopped traffic and threw objects – including at the police officers called to the scene. Several police officers were injured.

Legal consequences threaten

New York City Police Chief Jeffrey Maddrey is quoted as saying: “We’ve seen things like this before, but never to such a dangerous level that young people don’t follow our orders. They fought with each other and with each other injured. Then they turned their attacks on us and we had to make several arrests.” A total of 65 people were taken into police custody and over 1,000 officers were deployed.

Kai Cenat is also apparently confronted with legal consequences. Immediately after the large-scale operation, he was summoned for questioning. He is accused of not having permission for the action and not having clarified it with the police in advance. The authorities have already confirmed that he will be charged with at least two offenses: disturbance and incitement to an unauthorized assembly.
