Kamala: Wrestling star died at the age of 70

Known as Kamala in the wrestling world, James Harris has died at the age of 70.

James Harris (1950-2020), a star in the wrestling world under the pseudonym Kamala, is dead: The WWE legend died of cardiac arrest on Sunday at the age of 70, according to WWE. A few days earlier, Harris is said to have tested positive for Covid-19 and taken to a hospital, the media reported, citing his wife.

The "giant from Uganda"

Wrestling fans know Harris as "Ugandan Giant", in German "Gigant from Uganda". In the eighties and nineties he competed against the wrestling legends Hulk Hogan (66) and The Undertaker (55), among others. He received the highest title of the United States Wrestling Association four times. Since 2001 he only made sporadic appearances. In 2010 he announced the end of his wrestling career.

Harris had serious health problems. He suffered from high blood pressure, diabetes and a damaged kidney that forced him to dialysis several times a week. In addition, both legs had been amputated.
