After parting ways with Adidas, Kanye West seems to be looking for a new advertising partner. He’s at the wrong place at Skechers.
Just a day after Adidas ended its collaboration with Kanye West (45), he knocked at Skechers. However, the US shoe manufacturer was not very happy about the spontaneous visit from “Ye”. As the company said in a press release writes that the rapper showed up “unannounced and uninvited” at the headquarters in California. He made unauthorized filming, after which he and his team were escorted out of the building.
Skechers clarifies, “Skechers does not consider and does not intend to work with West. We condemn his recent divisive statements and have no tolerance for anti-Semitism or any other form of hate speech.”
Adidas is parting ways with Kanye West
It sounded similar on Tuesday from Adidas. There, too, “no anti-Semitism or any other type of hate speech is tolerated. Ye’s recent statements and actions are unacceptable, hateful and dangerous and violate the company’s values such as diversity and inclusion, mutual respect and fairness”. the company justified the end of its cooperation with Kanye West.
The rapper had been designing clothing and shoes for Adidas under the “Yeezy” brand since 2015. The label suspended its Yeezy business “effective immediately”.
Kanye West has been attracting negative attention lately. He appeared at the Yeezy show at Paris Fashion Week in a T-shirt with the inscription “White Lives Matter” popular with American racists. He also published anti-Semitic posts on social media. As a result, Instagram and Twitter restricted West’s respective accounts.
