Karina Marimon (La petite histoire de France): “He asked me for my email…”, how Laurent Ruquier spotted her

This is one of the revelations of La Petite Histoire de France, a sitcom created by Jamel Debbouze, of which W9 broadcasts the new season 5 on Saturdays at 9:05 p.m. Karina Marimon has since been spotted by Laurent Ruquier.

How would you describe Renata, your character, Napoleon’s cousin?

Karina Marimon: She’s a sweet idiot. She has her own intelligence and logic, her outbursts. She is also a woman of her time, she lives in the shadow of her husband and finds it normal and even gratifying. This is obviously the dream of many men because I have received so many marriage proposals! (Laughs.)

Is this an easy role to take on?

Accepting a role like that has earned me a lot of criticism from people who confuse the fictional character with who I really am. This is stupid… Anyway, I’m not an extremist feminist. I am a feminist who loves men.

The popularity of this series increases over the seasons. Have you noticed it?

I feel enormous love from people. In public places, sometimes people recognize me and tell me so. And then, it allowed me to have recognition for the profession. The Little History of France is a great showcase for me.

Laurent Ruquier spotted you and entrusted you with his one on stage, which you will perform in Paris at the Théâtre de l’Œuvre, from February 15, The Mona Lisa finally speaks! How did the contact with him go?

He had seen me on stage in my previous play, Big Mother, for which I was nominated for Molières. He spoke about it with great praise in his show on Paris Première. I thanked him on Instagram. He answered me, asked for my email and sent me the text. We can’t say no to that.

So what does this Mona Lisa say?

She’s had enough of people talking nonsense about her. And we learn a lot. This is 90% true. She recounts, for example, her first posing session for Leonardo DeVinci. There is also the story of her being kidnapped for two years when the painting was stolen from the Louvre Museum, which made her a star.

Will there be a season 6 of The Little History of France ?

I do not know yet. On the other hand, I am a gendarmerie commander in a new series on France 3, The Secrets of Finistère; I filmed in episode 2 and I’m coming back in 3 and 4. This year will be great! I don’t have the physique of a young first, but after twenty years of hard work to stay in the “game”, I am reaping the fruit of my efforts. And I like it.
