A family portrait that is far from unanimous. As the end-of-year holidays approach, Kate Middleton and William unveiled their traditional greeting card this Saturday, December 9. Alongside their three children George, Charlotte and Louis, the Prince and Princess of Wales struck a pose in front of the lens of artist Josh Skinner. Once relayed on social networks, this black and white photo received a slew of reviews… The reason ? Some Internet users have pointed out poor retouching that would have been carried out on the image. Unconvinced by the final result of this photograph, other social media users criticized Charles III’s son and daughter-in-law for wanting to look like “an ordinary family”.
As Kate Middleton and William’s holiday card continues to spark discussions and varied theories, Josh Skinner lifted the veil behind the scenes of this shoot. “It was such a pleasure to photograph the Prince and Princess of Wales and their family for this year’s Christmas portrait”, he wrote on his Instagram account, in the caption of his photo, on Sunday December 10. During this publication, the photographer revealed that it was “without a doubt” of “one of the most relaxed and enjoyable sessions” of her career. And Kate and William’s three children have something to do with it. “I now have a whole new set of jokes that are right on my level thanks to the kids…”, he concluded before warmly thanking the future king of England and his wife. If he didn’t want to share these little jokes, Josh Skinner was also careful not to respond to Internet users’ comments…

To wish the British happy holidays, Kate Middleton and William opted for a very different menu from previous years.
