An announcement that takes everyone by surprise. Since her abdominal operation last January, mystery has hovered around Kate Middleton’s state of health. After weeks of rumors and speculation, the Princess of Wales broke the silence and revealed the diagnosis. In a video published on social networks, this Friday, March 22, the wife of Prince William announced that she had cancer. “It was thought that my condition was not cancerous however, tests carried out after the operation revealed the presence of cancer. My medical team therefore advised me to undergo preventative chemotherapy and I am now in the early stages of this treatment. This was a huge shock, and William and I have done everything we can to deal with this privately for the sake of our family.” she declared.
Before informing her many admirers, the 41-year-old princess took care to announce the news to her three children. During this video, Charles III’s daughter-in-law revealed how she explained things to them. “It took us a while to explain everything to George, Charlotte and Louis in a way that suited them, and to reassure them that everything will be okay.”, she first confided. And to continue: “As I told them: I am doing well and getting stronger every day by focusing on the things that will help me heal; in my mind, body and spirit. Having William by my side is also a great source of comfort and reassurance.” In order not to disturb her two sons and daughter with this sad news, Kate Middleton wanted to do it at the most opportune time. “George, Charlotte and Louis were informed today. William and Kate wanted them to finish their studies by the Easter holidays before going public with the cancer news,” said Chris Ship, editor of ITV News on his X account, formerly Twitter. Kate Middleton “in great shape” during her last appearance
Nothing suggested such an announcement. On Sunday March 17, Kate Middleton was spotted at Windsor Farm Shop, with her husband William. A witness present at the scene reported to Sun that the princess “looked happy and healthy”, while another filmed the couple as they walked past his vehicle in the store parking lot. An appearance which came a few days after the controversy over the retouched photo revealed on Mother’s Day.
Images that were intended to be reassuring a few weeks before his big return. Carole Middleton’s daughter should normally resume her royal commitments around April 17, just after the start of the school holidays. A comeback that she is actively preparing as reported The Daily Express, this Tuesday, March 19. It remains to be seen whether the announcement of his cancer, a month after that of Charles III, does not upset his plans.
