Comedian Kathy Griffin has lung cancer. She now has to undergo an operation in which the left lung is removed.

The American comedian Kathy Griffin (60) has lung cancer. That said the 60-year-old via Instagram. She now has to undergo an operation to remove the left lung.

“Yes, I have lung cancer even though I never smoked,” Griffin writes in her post. Doctors are very optimistic because it is cancer in the first stage and is only limited to the left side of the lungs.

Ready to use again in a month

“Hopefully no chemo or radiation afterwards and my breathing function should be normal,” the comedian continued. If all goes well, it will be “fully operational” in a month or even less. Griffin said optimistically that “everything will be all right”.

Of course, she is fully vaccinated against the corona virus, adds the 60-year-old. If that weren’t the case, the consequences would be much more serious. “Please stay up to date with your medical examinations. It will save your life,” she appeals to her followers at the end.
