Kensington’s StudioDock now works with iPad Pro 2021

Last month, Kensington announced the update to its all-in-one stand that integrates multiple products, allowing iPad users to have a dedicated place to use Apple’s tablet on a desktop. .

For example, the StudioDock has a USB-C port that connects to the iPad Pro or iPad Air while magnetically holding it in place, converting it into a desktop computer. There are several ports on the back of the StudioDock that allow you to connect accessories to the iPad, as well as an HDMI port for connecting the tablet to an external monitor. There is also an SD card reader which allows you to play files or transfer photos to the iPad.

Under the iPad holder is a wireless charging station, with a slot for an iPhone and another for AirPods.

Unfortunately for Kensington, the new iPad Pro models were slightly thicker

Kensington released its original model shortly before the latest iPad Pro models were announced. Unfortunately for Kensington, the newer iPad Pro models were slightly thicker than the previous models, meaning they didn’t fit into the StudioDock cradle.

I reviewed the original StudioDock and enjoyed using it, but stopped testing it once I got the new iPad Pro. I’m happy to see this updated version so.
