CHRONIC. The announcement of the cessation of the marketing of heat engines from 2035 will weaken European companies in the face of their competitors.

IIt will be necessary to remember the 8 and 28 June 2022. Indeed, the 8 was the day when the European Parliament approved the text on the regulation of carbon dioxide emissions from cars and the 28, the day when the Ministers for the Environment, meeting in council, adopted this text. In particular, it prohibits the sale of new thermal cars from 2035, which means, on the scale of an industry of this type, tomorrow morning.

It thus offers Asian and American companies a market in which, until now, the Europeans have excelled. This decision is all the more stupid in that it will not promote, from 2035, the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions by cars circulating in Europe – quite the contrary! – because the search for less polluting engines will then have stopped…
