He is “relieved” to be spending Christmas without Harry and Meghan

This year too, King Charles and Co. will most likely spend Christmas without Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan. A royal expert is certain: the missing family members shouldn’t hurt the monarch as much as one might think.
On December 25, 2023, King Charles, 75, Queen Camilla, 76, Prince William, 41, and Catherine, Princess of Wales, 41, will be the undisputed stars of the Christmas walk in Sandringham. It is almost certain that Prince Harry, 39, and Duchess Meghan, 42, will no longer spend the holidays in Great Britain this year. In an interview with “Hello Magazine”, nobility expert Ingrid Seward explains why she is convinced: King Charles should be happy to spend Christmas without the Sussexes. And for a surprising reason!
King Charles: Christmas without Harry and Meghan doesn’t hurt him
As an author and editor-in-chief of “Majesty Magazine,” Seward is a true nobility expert. In an interview with “Hello” she emphasizes what an important and busy year lies behind King Charles. In May he was crowned king, and in September the first year of his reign was over; Charles has had a few busy months ahead of him, during which his skills as a monarch were put to the test.
Seward is convinced that the 75-year-old is “a little relieved” to be able to spend a relatively quiet Christmas. She believes: “There won’t be any trouble with the family to deal with. You know how it is at Christmas when you have that sort of ‘prickly relationship’, you’re walking on eggshells. At least you’re left with one unpleasant atmosphere is spared.”
There would be little time for Archie and Lilibet at Christmas
Unlike their cousins, Prince Archie, 4, and Princess Lilibet, 2, will have to spend Christmas – once again – without Grandpa Charles and Grandma Camilla. Experts firmly assume that Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland, 67, will be with her grandchildren over the holidays. Charles, Archie and Lilibet won’t be able to create memories of a Christmas together this year either.
The 2018 Christmas walk was the last one Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry attended.

If Seward has its way, that’s not a big problem. Because: “If he [König Charles, Anm. d. Red.] If you wanted to see your grandchildren, Christmas is probably not the best time to do it. There’s too much going on and he won’t be able to focus on her. It would be much better if he saw her in a quiet moment at another time of the year.” But she also emphasizes: “They will want to visit him because they have a relationship to maintain.” That way it works without any personal moments but not.
