King Felipe enjoys the traditional family vacation on Mallorca with his family, which should be very special this year – actually.

However, the reason for the cancellation of Cristina and Elena could be the media hype surrounding the reunion of the royal family and the reporting in Spanish newspapers. It was said that King Felipe and Queen Letizia after initial euphoria were anything but happy about their relatives’ plans and wanted to avoid a meeting between their daughters and some cousins, reports “Monarquía Confidencial”. The scandals of the last few weeks and months are said to have worsened the relationship between the royal couple and Felipe’s relatives, so that Letizia and Felipe are concerned that their image and the monarchy could also be affected.
