Knitting instructions: Knit fine blankets to cuddle up with

You can knit yourself a cozy blanket and get through the winter warmly wrapped up. Here you will find knitting patterns and instructions for ten elegant blankets.

Knit nest warmer yourself

The blanket will be approx. 130 cm x 170 cm without fringes.

What you need to knit the blanket:

Lang Yarns yarn, Quality "Virginia" (100% new wool superwash, running length approx. 50 m / 100 g): 2700 g in gray no. 3. One long circular knitting needle 9 and one thick crochet hook to tie in the fringes

Basic pattern: Rows 1 to 6: GARTER ST = K every row. Rows 7th to 10th: STOCKING K = K right st, P from back row. Always repeat 1st to 10th rows.

Tension gauge: 9 sts by 14 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm.

How to do it:

Cast on 120 sts and knit the basic pattern. When the piece measures approx. 170 cm, cast off the sts after the 6th row in pattern. Knot 1 fringe in each M at the cast-on and cast-off edge. Cut a 25 cm long thread for each fringe. Fold the thread in half, pull the loop through the M with the crochet hook, then pull the end threads through the loop.

Ceiling – this is how it works: Cast on 156 stitches in medium gray, knit one row. Then work 230 rows in stocking stitch (right row, purl reverse row). End with a row on the right, pick up 156 stitches for the cord edge from the four side edges.

Cord edge:

Basic pattern:
