Salzburg’s second state parliament president Sebastian Huber (NEOS) turned to Facebook with a special request and wrote a letter to the Germany branch. The wish: a Salzburg flag as an emoji in Facebook, WhatsApp and Messenger.
“I would often have liked to have a message, a post illustrated with ‘my’ Salzburg flag,” says Huber, who is one of the main arguments in favor of the worldwide fame of Salzburg in the race.
Incidentally, Bavaria has also made a similar request. There are actually only national flags as emojis, but Scotland and Wales are only parts of the United Kingdom, says Huber.
