Nike will continue to produce Kobe sneakers. The late NBA star’s widow, Vanessa Bryant, continues the partnership.

Sporting goods manufacturer Nike will continue to make shoes honoring the late NBA star Kobe Bryant (1978-2020). Like his widow Vanessa Bryant (39) announced on Instagram, she will continue the partnership with the brand. “I’m so proud that my husband’s shoes are still the most worn shoes on the NBA court and that fans around the world are asking for them,” the 39-year-old wrote on Thursday.

The agreement aims to ensure that the products will continue to be produced for years to come. Kobe Bryant’s original deal with Nike expired in April 2021. Fans around the world feared that Nike would no longer make new Kobe sneakers.

There should also be a new product series in honor of daughter Gianna Bryant (2006-2020). Father and daughter died in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, California on January 26, 2020. The then 13-year-old was traded as a junior player for the North American women’s basketball league WNBA. All net proceeds from the Gianna line of products will be donated to the Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation, according to Vanessa Bryant. Bryant also wants to work with Nike to open a basketball center for youth in Southern California.
