Koti Kobra innovative – Eberstalzeller developed a trip-free doormat

Floor mats can be tricky. The height and material have to be right so that they don’t become a tripping hazard. Koti Kobra has now received the patent for an accident-free mat. “The main business remains custom-made, technical brushes,” emphasizes Managing Director Gerhard Zauner.

Koti Kobra has specialized in the production of technical brushes for 40 years. “We see ourselves as problem solvers. If customers need a specific product, our technicians design the right brush and implement it in production on the most modern machines,” says Gerhard Zauner (50), describing a focus in production. He took over the management at the turn of the year. The company, which can look back on more than 130 years of history, has a broader base and is present on the market with hygiene brushes, cleaning devices and shadow walls for workplace organization, among other things. Because the specialist trade kept asking for low-height, dirt-removing and low-priced entrance mats, a new type of trip-resistant mat has now been developed. The national patent granted for this is now being extended to the whole of Europe, with a view to growth: “Our overall goal is organic growth of at least 10 percent a year. Our new company building, which we moved into in 2019, is already strategically designed for this,” emphasizes Zauner.
