“Krone” presents – Rosegger story & Silent Night, Holy Night

At the end of our “Krone” guide about the best time of the year, people read and sing.

With the Ivents agency, known as the Aufsteirern organizers, we have presented special tips on everything to do with the magic of Christmas over the past few days – true to the motto: “Celebrate the best time of the year with us.” One of the most popular Christmas stories is probably that of the Styrian writer Peter Rosegger “When I went to get Christmas joy”! The little forest farmer’s boy Peter has to take on a difficult job on December 24th. His parents send him on a long walk from the mountain farm, still at night: he is supposed to buy groceries, but first has to get some money. He mastered his task, but slept through Christmas Eve afterwards. “Silent Night, Holy Night” is probably the most famous Christmas carol in the world and is the epitome of Christmas customs in the German-speaking world. But it’s not that easy to sing. That is why we asked the well-known Styrian choir “Gestern und Heut” to give us an insight into how we can find the right pitch and even try out the second voice. Take a look at the little tutorial about the wonderful Christmas classic with the men’s group “Yesterday and Today” …
