Kylian Mbappé: The giant fresco of the attacker vandalized with death threats to Bondy

The giant fresco depicting Kylian Mbappé on one of Bondy’s buildings was vandalized over the weekend, Le Parisien reported. A death threat to the PSG striker was tagged on the work.

“Mbappé tes mor” (Mbappé, you’re dead). The threat was spray-painted with pink paint. But the 2018 tricolor world champion, from the city of Seine Saint-Denis, is not the only one to have been targeted.

Next to this first inscription, a second was tagged with equally virulent words: “Thomasin is fucking your mother”. These insults are intended for the former mayor of the city Sylvine Thomassin (PS), who is close to the Parisian player.

The municipal by-elections, which are to be held at the end of January, are said to be at the origin of these threats. The election of Stephen Hervé (LR) in June 2020 was indeed canceled and the current campaign is relatively tense, especially with Sylvine Thomassin (PS) presented as his main opponent.

Last November, she notably visited young people in the city during training with Kylian Mbappé. This visit did not fail to react his opponent Stephen Hervé, who had denounced a “political instrumentalisation”.

After the discovery of these degradations, Sylvine Thomassin filed a complaint against X and denounced these threats in a message posted on Facebook. “The attacks against me are already unacceptable and affect me every day as a woman, mother, politician. But when you threaten to kill someone who has nothing to do with politics just because they are close to me, it’s unbearable. These methods, in addition to being cowardly and mediocre, are a new attack on democracy and demonstrate the nauseating climate maintained by my opponents for months. This fresco was a magnificent symbol, a call to believe in your dreams and always fight to achieve them. Today, it is also this message of hope that has been damaged, ”lamented the politician. For his part, Kylian Mbappé did not react.
