There was even talk of the end of the year. But fans can now breathe a sigh of relief: the new longplayer will be released this Friday (May 29). The result is a real fireworks display, because the pop singer has brought great feature guests on board.
Lady Gaga would be a big name in itself, but her album also features stars like Elton John (73) and Ariana Grande (26). "Rain On Me", the song with Grande, has already been released in advance. Fans had to wait until Friday for the feature with Elton John, "Sine from Above". "I want people to dance and be happy," Lady Gaga describes her new album. "I want to bring out music that a large part of the world will hear and I want it to become part of their everyday life and make them happy every day."
The third feature guest – the girl group Blackpink – may not be as well known in this country. Blackpink are the female counterpart to the South Korean boy group BTS. The K-pop singers Jisoo (25), Jennie (24), Rosé (23) and Lisa (23) are big stars in Asia. The four broke a YouTube record in 2019: it only took 33 minutes for the music video for their song "Kill This Love" to collect a million likes. With this they pushed Ariana Grande from the throne. The video now has over 13 million likes and 840 million views. Lady Gaga recorded the new song "Sour Candy" with them.
