Land & chambers advertise – Long information night is the start of the apprenticeship fair

In just over a week, Tyrol’s first apprenticeship fair, which will take place “live” and online, will start. The Chamber of Labour, the Chamber of Commerce and the state are doing the advertising drum to attract many young people to the event.

Tyrol’s first hybrid apprenticeship fair starts on October 17th with a “Long Night of Apprenticeships”. Parents, grandparents, young people and interested parties are cordially invited. Chamber of Labor President Erwin Zangerl sees the fair as a stage: “Firstly, young people can orientate themselves and decide on future-proof training and secondly, it shows the quality of the training and the commitment of the trainers.” Zangerl points out that the apprenticeship have a high priority in Tyrol and the graduates receive a sound education. For companies, young skilled workers are indispensable, so the trade fair is a welcome opportunity, as Christoph Walser, President of the Chamber of Commerce, knows: “The apprenticeship fair serves as a mouthpiece for our companies and enables insight for young people. In this way, the Tyrolean companies themselves can influence the fact that dual training is put in a better light in the public eye.” State trains in 46 apprenticeships The state, which currently offers dual training in 46 different occupations and also with one, also wants to encourage apprenticeships booth will be represented at the fair. “Our apprentices are the skilled workers of tomorrow,” emphasizes Economic LR Anton Mattle. The state therefore offers apprentices a training grant and promotes further training. Advice for schoolchildren is also being increased. “We want to get young people excited about an apprenticeship in order to be able to cope with the demand on the labor market and to be able to continue to secure Tyrol as an attractive business location,” explains Mattle. He praises the apprentice fair as an important step and calls for the “Long Night of Apprenticeship” to be present at the start.
