launch scheduled for March 14, 2024, here’s what to expect

While we thought that the next Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra would arrive at the MWC 2024 show in Barcelona, we will ultimately have to wait a few more days before being able to discover the smartphone.

Zenfone 11 Ultra

Asus is preparing for the launch of its next high-end smartphone, the Zenfone 11 Ultra, and just before its official launch, we already know almost everything about it. If the technical sheet of the device no longer has many surprises in store for us, Asus has now confirmed the launch date of the device.

On its website, the manufacturer confirmed that its Zenfone 11 Ultra will be unveiled duringa special event which will be held on March 14. The device will therefore probably not make its appearance at the MWC 2024 show in Barcelona, unlike the Xiaomi 14 or other smartphones.

The Zenfone 11 Ultra should be the only model in the series

Unlike previous years and its Zenfone 10, it seems that Asus has abandoned compact smartphones this time. We have only heard about the Zenfone 11 Ultra so far. No other devices have been mentioned by leakers or certification bodies. So it seems that the smartphone will be the only one in its series. The phone will be much larger and more expensive than previous Zenfone models, which might disappoint some fans of the series.

The new Zenfone 11 Ultra will featurea large 6.78-inch LTPO 144 Hz OLED screen with FHD definition+. It is expected to be powered by a 5500 mAh battery compatible with 65W fast charging and 15W wireless charging. On the back, we will find three sensors : a 50 MP camera, a 13 MP ultra-wide-angle as well as a 32 MP 3X telephoto lens.

The Zenfone 11 Ultra will look a lot like the ROG Phone 8, Asus’ gaming smartphone launching in 2023. The Zenfone 11 Ultra will have the same shape, size and design as the ROG Phone 8, but with some minor differences, such as color options and branding. The Zenfone 11 Ultra will be available in five colors: Eternal Black, Misty Gray, Desert Sienna, Skyline Blue and Verdure Green. The phone will also have the Zenfone logo on the back, instead of the ROG logo.
