Laure de Lattre, "little bourgeois bitch": after Loft Story which made her suffer so much: Current Woman The MAG

It is a program that has shaken a whole generation. On April 26, 2001, eleven singles joined a house in the heart of Paris in a studio in the Plaine Saint-Denis, under the prying eyes of twenty-six cameras hidden behind the walls. For nearly three months, the French followed the adventures of the candidates of Loft Story and quickly … the show becomes a real fashion phenomenon. Loana Petrucciani, big winner this season, is suddenly propelled into the spotlight, just like her comrades. Today destroyed by bad meetings and criticism of all kinds, Mindy's mother tries to rebuild at her own pace. For Laure de Lattre, finalist of Loft Story 1, the exit from the program was also extremely violent.

"It was too violent … Too hard, too unfair that we hate you for no reason"

In the book Sexism Story, Loana Petrucciani, published by Editions Seuil on February 4, 2021, Paul Sanfourche retraced the both magical and tragic fate of reality TV stars. If the blonde icon of the 2000s, who appears on the cover of the book, has been trying to get rid of her addictions for more than fifteen years, others have had a hard time shedding their reputation born in the small screen. In this book, Laure de Lattre explains that the production of the show would have done everything for the "make pass for the dirty bourgeois, a rich bastard …" But that's not all. The former candidate also accuses Endemol France having manipulated the images shown on the screen for viewers to hate her.

On July 5, 2001, Laure de Lattre left the program and faced a compact crowd of fans in the streets of Paris. There again, the young woman, then aged twenty-four, has no idea what to expect: "It was too violent after … Too hard, too unfair that we hate you for no reason", she confided to Paul Sanfourche. At her home, the young candidate sometimes receives "love letters", sometimes "psychopathic stuff" that she has to face alone: "At the exit of the Loft, we haven't seen anyone from the production anymore. Never again. We were really on our own", she regretted. Today, Laure de Lattre, who has since become Laure Jeandemange, has moved away from television sets and is trying more than ever to get rid of this "image of a bitch who made a reality TV game".
