LCK: Nuguri back at DWG KIA after competitive break?

King of toplane and world champion in 2020, Jang “Nuguri” Ha-gwon had decided to join China and the LPL in 2021. He had then joined FunPlus Phoenix, world champion 2019, to restore the colors of a structure that had foundered in 2020. However, not everything went as planned and Nuguri and his teammates have completely sunk during Worlds 2021. Yet a finalist in the LPL Summer Split, the Chinese structure sank into the group of DWG KIA, Cloud9 and Rogue.

Following this misadventure, he had not been retained by FPX and he had then announced that he would take a competitive break in 2022. While he had received many proposals, including one from his former team, DWG KIA, he preferred to rest for a year. However, it would seem that he misses the lack of competition and he would like to return from the Summer Split.

According to our colleagues from Korizon, Nuguri would have even found a team. This would be none other than KIA DWG, who continues to eye his former top lane prodigy. The season of the structure double finalist of the Worlds was disappointing sinceshe didn’t even reach the LCK final. Several weaknesses were noted, particularly with regard to the top lane which failed to respond despite having two players in this position, Noh “Burdol” Tae-yoon and Yoon “Hoya” Yong-ho.

To see if this information will be confirmed but if it were to be done, it would be a definite improvement for Kim “Canyon” Geon-bu and his teammates in their quest for a new world championship title. It would also bring tougher competition for T1who has not lost the slightest BO during this season in LCK and who appears like an ogre against his competitors.
