LDC passes the 5 billion turnover mark for the first time – 04/07/2022 at 18:17

(AOF) – The LDC group achieved in 2021-2022 (financial year ended at the end of February) a turnover of 5.07 billion euros, up 14.5% over one year. This is the first time that the level of activity of the poultry specialist exceeds the symbolic bar of 5 billion. This includes growth of 16.1% in the fourth quarter to 1.4 billion euros. “As announced, the end-of-year celebrations went well and are generally in line with the Group’s expectations,” said the owner of the Loué and Le Gaulois brands.

LDC is now confident of posting current operating income slightly above the target of 200 million euros presented on the occasion of the half-year results. This confidence is based on the good performance achieved in its activities and on the favorable outcome of the first tariff negotiations obtained to deal with the evolution of raw materials, making it possible to preserve the balance of the sector.

However, the 2022-2023 financial year begins in an uncertain and difficult context due to the avian flu epidemic which affects many farms as well as the continuous rise in the price of raw materials and other expenses (cereals, energy, transport, packaging …). Despite everything, LDC will be able to contain the drop in its available volumes by around 20% over the period from March to August 2022.
