LDLC pampers its employee-parents by exploding the parental leave counter

The Rhône-based LDLC group has made a major new breakthrough which directly concerns well-being at work: its employees will now benefit from 20 weeks of post-natal leave.

It’s not a myth, but a reality: LDLC likes to take care of its employees. The group, which is one of the benchmarks in the online sale of electronic products in France, announced on Tuesday September 26 that it had reached a new milestone in its social policy. It has in fact set up, since the 1er June 2023, 20 weeks of parental leave, both for women and men who have just become parents.

20 weeks for moms and dads: LDLC pushes the limits of parental leave

This is a strong gesture made by the group chaired by Laurent de la Clergerie, which is reminiscent of the introduction of the 32-hour week (4 days) in 2021. By increasing post-birth parental leave to 20 weeks for women and men, LDLC is once again innovating in its well-being at work policy.

As a reminder, the law today offers parental leave of 10 weeks to mothers, and 25 days to fathers. By increasing this limit to 20 weeks for mothers and fathers, the LDLC group allows mothers to benefit from 10 additional weeks, in addition to legal leave.

This “parental leave” which, it should be noted, is paid, allows fathers to gain an additional 16 weeks.

A company that goes against the grain of normality

Laurent de la Clergerie recognizes this, “ in France, maternity and paternity leave is too short. Parents must entrust their child when he is only 2 and a half months old “. The founder of the group thus welcomes extended parental leave made in LDLC, which “ will allow our employees to approach their new life and their return to work more calmly, and not to miss any moment of baby’s first months “.
