L’Échappée: Alone on his bike, he steals the show from the first in the race organized by Domingo!

After two clear successes of the Breakaway, the sports competition organized by domingo, the event was back for a 2022 edition! Here are the highlights of the evening and especially the final ranking.

L’Échappée June 2022: A physical edition with an audience!

If the first edition was intended to be just a simple “donation goal” of the ZEvent 2020, things have since evolved! Followed by nearly 200,000 spectators the first time, a second edition took place just three months later, again a success.

It was this Saturday, June 22, 2022 that the third edition of the Escape took place, not only on Twitch live but especially in physics at the National Velodrome of Saint-Quentin en Yvelines (78). Just over 1,000 spectators were able to attend thanks to a ticket sold in advance for €25. Presented by Domingo of course, but also Amine, the show lasted about two hours and saw a great line-up of web personalities compete, all with a different level. For Domingo, this is precisely what makes the strength of this event: seeing people suffer from calves always surpass yourself, regardless of physical or endurance level. A big congratulations to all the participants of course.

McFly and Carlito: The great winning duo of the 3rd edition

This year, the objective was once again toarrive at the end of the 30 kilometers that separates the participants from the virtual finish line on the saddle of a real bike, and this as quickly as possible. The great novelty of this edition was of course the possibility of do it as a duo and no longer solo. Thus, when one of the members suffered too much in his saddle, his partner could take over and continue the race.

Without further ado, here is the final ranking of L’Échappée 3rd edition, with a very tight podium on the side of the second and third places:

  1. McFly and Carlito : race finished in 1 hour and 16 minutes
  2. Djilsi and Sasha : race finished in 1 hour, 21 minutes and 9 seconds
  3. Ponce and Rivenzi : race finished in 1 hour, 21 minutes and 22 seconds
  4. Xari and Billy : race finished in 1 hour and 30 minutes
  5. Ken Bogard : race finished in 1 hour and 35 minutes
  6. MisterMV and ZeratoR (eliminated)
  7. Inoxtag and Valouzz (eliminated)
  8. Gotaga and Brawks (eliminated)

The feat of Ken Bogard

You will probably have noticed that the list of participants initially planned for this third edition has changed somewhat. Xari had to commentate the race with Domingo but Amine having a knee injury, he unfortunately could not participate, leaving his teammate, Billy, all alone. Eventually, Xari participated with Billy, allowing Amine to show off with the event organizer as well as handing out the medals at the end. Maghla and Jeel (also injured) were also unable to participate, leaving a vacant place in the competition. Fortunately, Ken Bogard arrived as a great savior to fill this void and above all spice up the event. Training very regularly on his bike, Ken therefore left with an advantage compared to all the other participants.

  • Ken’s malus : in order not to penalize the other participants, he had to ride solo but above all leave 30 minutes later others. Each duo overtaken by Ken was then eliminated from the race!

Although the famous duo of YouTubers Mcfly and Carlito won this new Echappée hands down, it was above all the last minute guest, Ken Bogard, who therefore had an exceptional race by eliminating three duos on his own.
