Leclerc recalls peas that may contain foreign bodies

This is nightshade, a herbaceous plant that naturally contains high levels of alkaloids (solanine). These substances are known to be toxic. Ingesting five to ten berries can cause nausea, for example.

Several lots are affected by this food recall. Lot 261250C with a time stamp between 5 a.m. and 6 a.m. as well as lot 261251B with a time stamp between 6 a.m. and 11 a.m. with a minimum durability date of September 30, 2023. Note that the product has been marketed from October 6 to December 31, 2021.
