The presidential majority got into battle order on Tuesday to launch the campaign for the legislative elections. All the candidates of the Renaissance party (ex-LREM), MoDem and Horizons met in Aubervilliers, in Seine-Saint-Denis for a day of training, before attending Emmanuel Macron’s speech.
The candidates invested by Renaissance (ex-LREM), the MoDem and Horizons for the legislative elections were welcomed in Aubervilliers, in Seine-Saint-Denis, this Tuesday, to follow a day of training dedicated to aspiring deputies of the majority. Several party heavyweights were present, the President of the National Assembly, Richard Ferrand, who gave a speech, but also Jean Castex, the Prime Minister, as well as several members of the government: Jean-Michel Blanquer, Olivier Véran and Gabriel Attal. Re-elected President Emmanuel Macron also gave a late afternoon speech to kick off the campaign.
Three workshops to prepare for the campaign
The objective of this day of meetings, display the unity of the different sensitivities of the majority. The candidates also posed all together for a family photo, before starting the first of the three workshops of this day.
On the menu, first, the program to defend for these legislative elections. This afternoon, they were briefed on the campaign strategy, again with a photo shoot, but this time individually. It is a question of carrying out posters which will be plastered in the constituencies. The aspiring deputies also have the choice, either to appear there alone, or alongside Emmanuel Macron, which was to be the option chosen by most of them.
The last workshop focused on the communication strategy before the closing speech of the President of the Republic expected here at 6 p.m., which the journalists were unable to attend. The Head of State, like his predecessors, himself validated all the nominations, well almost all, since a list of 50 to 65 names must still be revealed, a priori during the day.
