Ain: we celebrate the snow at the Nordic area of Sur-Lyand
The Nordic area of Sur-Lyand, on the Grand Colombier massif, hosts the 14th edition of the snow festival on Sunday. From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., in groups, it will be possible to test several disciplines. For €5, visitors will be given a bracelet giving access to the entertainment. The necessary equipment is loaned during the activity.
If the electric fatbike sessions and outings with sled dogs are unfortunately already full, all the other activities do not require prior reservation.
On the program, cross-country skiing lessons (morning), skating (afternoon) in initiation or improvement, biathlon. But also Nordic hiking (at 2 p.m.) or snowshoeing. Airboard descents, a big inflatable sled, will also be offered. The toboggan run will be freely accessible and activities for children, such as the construction of an igloo, are planned. There will even be demonstrations of search for victims under avalanche.
Those who wish can also access the cross-country ski trails of the area, it will be free for the occasion, with the possibility of renting equipment on site.
Shuttles will go back and forth between Seyssel (Esplanade) and Corbonod (firefighter car park on the road side) and the Sur-Lyand area. Last departure at 3 p.m., last return at 6 p.m.
