Lena Lorenz: Judith Hoersch was pregnant in real life

"Lena Lorenz" is back. In three new episodes of the popular ZDF series (always on Thursdays at 8:15 p.m.) Judith Hoersch (39) slips back into the role of TV midwife. The special thing about the new episodes: The 39-year-old was pregnant while filming. The script was rewritten shortly before. Her character Lena is also expecting her first child. Father is her fiance Quirin Pankofer (Jens Atzorn).

The baby bump is real

Hoersch is pleased with a change that fits her figure very well in an interview with the news agency spot on news. The actress was in front of the camera for "Lena Lorenz" from the fifth to the eighth month. A dummy baby bump was therefore obsolete. "Everything the audience sees is real," the actress assures.

Hoersch did not have concerns that the filming could be too strenuous for them. "I was pregnant and not sick. It was wonderful and I was fit until the end." Even if the heat in the mountains was of course a bigger challenge than "not pregnant", she admits.

Your new life as a mother

Her first child was born in autumn 2019. "It was a quick, natural birth without aids and pain relievers," she recalls. "You are in a tunnel and completely connected to your interior. An archaic experience." Her heart had grown twice as big as a mother. And what is the most beautiful thing about being a mom for her? "The huge love you feel, that I learn a lot more patience and that I rediscover and marvel at the world with my daughter," she explains.

The next filming for four new films of the "Lena Lorenz" series should take place this year. "Then I always have my daughter with me. With the support of her father, grandmothers and a nanny. If you are a good team, you can do a lot with a child," explains the actress.
