Musically, Lena Meyer-Landrut has been quieter lately. Now the singer seems to be back and surprises with a new single and a seductive cover shoot.

The last album “Only Love, L” has Lena Meyer-Landrut, 32, released in 2019. After that, the “Sattelite” singer only surprised her fans with smaller music projects. A picture on Instagram in February 2023, which shows Lena in the studio, made her followers sit up and take notice again for the first time. Rightly so, on June 16 Lena released her new single “What I Want”.

“What I Want” is the name of Lena’s new baby and has already generated 139,168 views on YouTube within a few days. And the hype about the new single doesn’t want to stop on Instagram either. The announcement has now received over 36,000 likes and almost 600 comments. So it’s no wonder that Lena came up with something very special for the marketing of the song: she produced two song covers and let her fans decide which one they like better.

There are two pictures that could not be more different. In the first picture, Lena gives the dark temptress. In elegant trousers, a bra and a blazer, she looks strongly and confidently into the camera. Her hair is styled in a wet look and her body also shines with a light film of oil. The lips are made up in a color that matches the red background – overall a harmonious picture.

In the second picture, the “Better” interpreter shows her natural and sensitive side. Clad only in an oversized man’s shirt, she poses on a mattress, hardly wears any make-up and her hair is naturally styled in slight waves.

Fans agree: This is the favorite

Although both images are very aesthetic, a clear favorite is emerging in the comments. Colleague Yvonne Catterfeld writes “1” in a nutshell, another account even suspects a marketing decision behind it: “Lena said that her style and music will change drastically in the future… Photo 1 = ‘new’ Lena and picture 2 = ‘old’ Lena?” Lena herself did not reveal which picture is her favorite – perhaps complexity is what she is aiming for.
