Let's Dance: Laura Müller's personal "Love Week"

At the beginning of the sixth show of "Let's Dance", which was completely under the "Love Week" motto, there was a little choreo show dance to John Paul Young's cuddle classic "Love Is In The Air". The three jury members Motsi Mabuse (38), Jorge González (52) and Joachim Llambi (55) as well as the moderators Victoria Swarovski (26) and Daniel Hartwich (41) opened the live show under the artificial applause of the tape Parquet love. Because of the continuing Corona crisis in Germany, the nine remaining candidates had to dance in front of empty seats and limit the entertainment to the TV viewers. In the last episode before the Easter break, Ulrike von der Groeben (62) and Valentin Lusin (33) did the least – they had to leave at the end.

Laura Müller gets full marks from Wendler

Right at the start, many happiness hormones were released by Laura Müller (19). However, not because of her dance partner Christian Polanc (41), but rather through her future god husband Michael Wendler (47). After the two had just announced their "dream wedding" on TV for this year, they were at least mentally inseparable at the show – so Laura said in advance that she "danced especially for Michael" and had complete "trust in him". After a piece of cake together at the rehearsals, it was then a matter of "dancing with the body and enjoying the show with the head", as professional dancer Christian Polanc – he had to miss the last time due to illness – specified the route for the jive.

For "Yours is my whole heart" by Heinz Rudolf Kunze, the two of them "stepped on the gas" with "good energy". Motsi Mabuse then judged Lauras Jive that although she was "on a very good path", she was "lacking in self-confidence" for the performance and she still missed the "huge wow moment". Chief juror Joachim Llambi said in a nutshell: "Ms. Müller, it will be better." During the video call on the stairs, Laura was able to give Michael a few kisses in the smartphone camera, which apparently made the hit singer very happy: "You made me so proud." Of course, he would have given her full marks. The judgment for the two was at least better than in the past: 23 points.

Aggressive Swiss and shy comedians

After a rather meager, pale slowfox appearance (15 points) by moderator Ulrike von der Groeben and Valentin Lusin for "Ich Liebe Das Leben" by Vicky Leandros, DSDS winner Luca Hänni (25) and his partner Christina Luft (30) put one up according to Mabuse "Dynamite" -Paso Doble. For the "I Was Made For Lovin 'You" flamenco cover "there was a lot of aggressiveness for a Swiss from Bern", as Llambi put it. Unfortunately, Hänni lost the Spanish attack attitude somewhat during the wild bullfighting. Nevertheless, the two youngsters got 25 points, breaking the "22-point curse" of the previous weeks.

Actors Tijan Njie (28) and Kathrin Menzinger (31) then gave the full score with a smooth jive to Queen's "Crazy Little Thing Called Love". This high jump – Motsi was certain – "he has it in the blood" and winked in the direction of Tijan. For comedian Ilka Bessin (48) aka "Cindy aus Marzahn" and Erich Klann (32), the concept for her contemporary was telling a story that the jury could not fully understand, and especially for judge and executioner Joachim Llambi " was too little dance ". Bessin would have the given 12 points this month "at most with Weight Watchers" – despite her shortness of breath she still had her sense of humor.

How many points would Pietro give?

All eyes – possibly including those of Pietro Lombardi (27) – were then focused on 30-point pair Lili Paul-Roncalli (21) and Massimo Sinató (39). The quick step for "lovesickness is not worth it" was almost perfect, but because of the dirty footwork for Llambi it was not error-free and therefore got 29 points. Pietro should not have noticed the small foot defect. "Many thanks to Lili Paul-Lombardi, no -Roncalli" – moderator Hartwich was unable to resist the little wink. After the salsa by actors Martin Klempnow (46) and Marta Arndt (30), Oliver Pocher (42) and his wife Amira (27) were added via video call. The two of them seemed freshly in love after their Corona quarantine and gave a small salsa sample from home. Olli then made a virtual marriage proposal to his buddy Martin, since the Wendler now had no money left.
