Billboard projects with no future or real technical innovations intended to rethink OLED displays
from the future ?

From January 5 to 8, the CES 2022 in Las Vegas should normally be held in person. After a 2021 edition canceled due to Covid, the question of the 2022 edition is still questioning.

Something new for gamers …

However, this should not dampen the enthusiasm of exhibitors and LG is not let down. The South Korean, for example, is preparing novelties in the display world.

First, we note the existence of a new multimedia chair integrating image and sound. The ” Media Chair Is designed around a 55-inch OLED TV with a curvature of 1500R. The audio aspect is entrusted to the system Cinematic Sound OLED which must be able to do without any external speaker.

The concept is not exactly new, but the integration of an OLED panel is more innovative, as is the possibility, with a simple button hidden in the armrest, to rotate the display between portrait mode and countryside.

… and indoor athletes

LG has another novelty, this time aimed at athletes. The idea here is to offer a more immersive display for the practice of the exercise bike for example.

To do this, the South Korean integrates no less than three OLED panels of 55 inches each, arranged vertically. Not necessarily very visible on the capture provided by LG, the top panel of the ” Virtual Ride »Has a radius of curvature of 500R to envelop the user who benefits from a more complete immersion. LG points out that this curvature is the largest available to date on a large panel.

Of course, LG does not communicate an availability date or price for what remains two elements of its technological showcase.
