Here we are ! A few months after the presentation of its state-of-the-art televisions at CES in Las Vegas, the Korean manufacturer finally reveals the price and availability of the flagship products in its 2024 catalog.

Like every spring, it’s time for renewal for many product categories. In fact, there are only a few weeks left before the new LG televisions arrive in the usual stores. On the other hand, if we now know the prices and availability of the QNED series and the OLED C4 and G4 evo, we have not been able to learn much more about the OLED B4 and M4 series.

Just like for the B4 series, we will have to wait a little longer to know the prices of the famous OLED M4 © Nicolas Guyot for Clubic

LG OLED C4: value for money maintained?

Renowned for being one of the best value for money ranges of OLED televisions, the C series is back with references to diagonals between 42 and 83 inches. As we had already described in our article on LG’s new products on the sidelines of CES, the LG C4 takes up the torch from its predecessor, which is none other than the brand’s most popular OLED model, and should not come shake up LG’s catalog, since it retains the majority of the characteristics of its predecessor.

As a reminder, the LG C4 is entitled to the evo name thanks to its OLED EX panel, a technology which therefore does not exploit the latest advances from the manufacturer (OLED Meta 2.0 with MLA+) reserved for OLED G4 and M4. Also note that the 42 and 48 inch LG C4 references skip the evo label, as was already the case last year, due to hardware limitations in achieving a higher light peak on these models. smaller sizes.

Apart from this, LG announces a higher light peak than the LG C3 thanks to Brightness Booster technology, but above all the evolution of its Alpha 9 processor, which goes to Gen 7 version and uses new, more powerful algorithms to improve the image and sound. This processor thus benefits from freshness compared to the Alpha 9 of the LG C3, in particular with the Dynamic Tone Mapping, AI Super Upscaling and AI Clear Sound functions.

Available from the end of April, the C4 series is available with prices that remain similar to those of last year for the C3 series, see details below:

  • LG OLED42C4: 1,499 euros
  • LG OLED48C4: 1,599 euros
  • LG OLED55C4: 1,999 euros
  • LG OLED65C4: 2,799 euros
  • LG OLED77C4: 3,999 euros
  • LG OLED83C4: 5,999 euros

LG OLED G4: W-OLED more efficient than ever?

The G4 evo series shares a lot in common with the M4 series, with the difference that the electronics are not remote into the Zero Connect box. This allows a wireless connection to the television, which then only requires a power cable.

We therefore benefit from a Meta 2.0 OLED panel equipped with MLA+ microlens technology as well as a heat sink that is not available on lower series. The LG OLED G4 evo would thus be capable of reaching a peak light of 3,000 cd/m2 on a white test pattern occupying 3% of the screen.

We find the name Brightness Booster Max for the M4 and G4, and also a new processor, the Alpha 11. This chip would be much more efficient than the previous one, particularly in terms of graphics performance and artificial intelligence. We thus find improvements greater than those anticipated with the Alpha 9 Gen 7, in particular with Dynamic Tone Mapping “OLED Pro” and various functions improving the scaling of content. LG also adds an AI Directors Processing function for increased fidelity with cinematic content, as well as Voice Remastering, whose role is to make dialogue ever clearer.

  • LG OLED97G4: 24,999 euros

Pricing and availability of QNED91T and QNED85T

Let’s end with two ranges that are more affordable than the OLED series, the prices of which have also been revealed by LG. These are the Mini-LED references QNED91T and QNED85T. The first has only three references, uses Mini-LED backlighting with a 4K 120Hz panel and is equipped with an Alpha 8 processor. The second series uses this same processor, but has Edge LED backlighting with Local Dimming .

The QNED91T and QNED85T will be available by May at the prices listed below:

  • LG 65QNED91T: 1,999 euros
