Linda Evangelista has been single for several years and is apparently coping well with it. She has “no interest” in new dates.
She has been divorced once and is 58 years old: But supermodel Linda Evangelista doesn’t seem to be interested in finding new love. In one new interview with the Sunday Times She makes it very clear that she is “not interested.” The reason: “I don’t want to sleep with anyone anymore. I don’t want to hear anyone breathing.”
The Canadian, who was married to the former model agency boss Gérald Marie (73) from 1987 to 1993, can hardly remember her last acquaintance. “Definitely before cool sculpting,” she reports.
As a reminder: Cool sculpting is a cosmetic treatment against fatty tissue that Evangelista underwent in 2015 and 2016. However, she had serious complications at the time, as she reported on Instagram: Instead of a decrease, the treatment caused an increase in fat cells: “I was brutally disfigured.”
Linda Evangelista avoids mirrors
In an interview with the “Sunday Times” she explained that she no longer looks at herself in the mirror. “My son sometimes says to me, ‘You should probably know that you have a pimple on your chin.’ I then say, ‘Oh what?’ But life is better without a mirror.” What people think of her still bothers her a little today, “but it used to bother me a lot.”
She no longer blames herself for the botched beauty procedure: “I’m no longer strict with myself. […] I now know that I didn’t do anything wrong. For a long time I thought I had done it.” Now she’s working on “getting rid of the guilt and shame completely.”
Strong in the fight against breast cancer
Linda Evangelista’s ordeal is long. In September 2023 she had in an interview with the “Wall Street Journal” revealed that she has been battling breast cancer for five years. This returned again last year. Her prognosis is “good”, but not “very good”. She now told the “Sunday Times” that her biggest goal at the moment is “to stay alive”.
