Lindt opens museum inspired by Willy Wonka's chocolate factory

All those who have ever dreamed of discovering Willy Wonka's chocolate factory will be delighted! The Lindt® Home of Chocolate promises to make this dream come true!

What if the next time you opened a bar of chocolate you came across a golden ticket opening the doors to Willy Wonka's famous chocolate factory? Impossible ? Maybe not ! While it is indeed unlikely that you will meet the iconic character of the novel Charlie and the chocolate factory of Roald Dahl, it is now possible to visit a place similar to his chocolate factory. Indeed, the brand Lindt opened his own chocolate factory inspired by that of the eccentric chocolatier, the Lindt® Home of Chocolate.

Last September, the Lindt® Home of Chocolate opened in Zurich. This is the largest chocolate factory in the world! She takes guests on an interactive journey leading them through "seven worlds of chocolate."From cultivation to production, the cocoa bean is the star of this magical place. Several exhibitions trace the history of Swiss chocolate making.

This museum, much more gourmet than the others, offers several other attractions to entertain chocolate lovers. The Lindt Chocolateria allows customers to create their own confectionery. According to Travel + Leisure, the Praline tasting room is also a must not to be missed then, that Lindt coffee is available to cleanse the palate and indulge in different taste experiences.

The Lindt® Home of Chocolate was designed to complement the historic Lindt & Sprüngli factory building. Unlike Willy Wonka's factory, customers are encouraged to pick up chocolates and other sweets available at this chocolate factory. There are mountains of white, milk and dark chocolates as well as the largest chocolate fountain in the world. Over 9 meters high, this giant whip suspended in the air brews over 1,000 liters of chocolate. It is also the welcome centerpiece at the entrance to set the tone for visitors before their chocolate experience.
