On April 5, Lio will be honorary coach in the Belgian version of The Voice. A few days before her appearance on the show, the singer took the opportunity to reveal the amount she had received when she was a juror of Nouvelle Star, in France.
A very decent salary. After a great career in music, Leo is now looking for the talents of tomorrow. On April 5, the singer will indeed integrate the jury of the Belgian version of The Voice. Ten years after participating in the very first season of tele-hook in 2021, this time around she will be honorary coach alongside Beverly Jo Scott, Typh Barrow, Black M and Christophe Willem.
For the occasion, the magazine Ciné Télé Revue looked at her past as a juror in the Nouvelle Star, in France. Present during seasons 6.7 and 8, the artist had seen in turn Amandine Bourgeois, Soan and Luce win the competition. A participation which also allowed the sister of Helena Noguerra to pocket a nice jackpot.
Lio paid by invoice
Lio was first asked about her salary in the first season of The Voice Belgium. “Yeah, looks like it was okay. I don’t know exactly how much I earned“, she replied, without elaborating further on the subject. But when asked about his time in the New starthe artist was much more talkative.
“It was a one-year contract that worked on invoice, not on salary. It was around 140,000 euros. Today, I think The Voice in France pays a lot more. In Belgium, as there are fewer viewers, the cachet is less important. These are negotiable things.”said the 59-year-old singer.
