We love lipstick. But right now we rarely wear our favorite colors on our lips. Until now! We reveal four lipstick tricks that you absolutely have to try – despite a face mask.

Highlight your lipstick

Metallic lipsticks are one of the biggest trends of the season right now. However, we know: we won't wear them forever. So if you don't want to invest money in a lipstick with a metallic finish, you can create one yourself with a super simple trick.

Simply apply a lipstick of your choice and then dab a highlighter (it shouldn't be too light, otherwise the color will be very falsified) over the lipstick. Focus more on the middle of the lips – and it looks super metallic.

Play with styles

There is more than one way to put your favorite lipstick on, and it doesn't always have to be full coverage. Blurred lips are the perfect lipstick solution, especially in the current era (yes, lipstick and mask are not so easy to combine) – especially with bright colors.

Pick up some lipstick with a small eyeshadow brush and dab it on your lips. The color looks more like a lip stain with slightly blurred edges. It looks super natural and actually lasts a lot longer.

Lip lifting

It is no longer a secret that we can sharpen the lip contour with concealer. But what most underestimate: We can use it to visually lift our lips and raise the outer corners. As? Very easy:

Use your concealer to draw a short line from the outer, lower lip towards the ear. One centimeter is enough. Then blend the concealer with your finger, a brush or a beauty sponge. The product is then no longer really visible, but the area around the outer corner still looks highlighted and visually pulled upwards.

Blush on top

We all know the problem that lipstick won't last as long as we'd like it to. And how do we solve the problem? With blush, of course! For many brands, most lipstick classics have a matching blush in the same shade. And if not, then you are sure to have similar colors in your collection.

With a shader brush (small eyeshadow brush) you take up some blush and dab it over the lipstick. So it is guaranteed to last a lot longer – even under the face mask.
