Salah breaks a big mark and lets Klopp climb

Superstar Mohamed Salah scores a brace in Liverpool FC’s win against Brentford FC, making it his 200th goal in English football. For his club under coach Jürgen Klopp, this means a small jump in the table.
Liverpool FC climbed to second place in the Premier League table with their sixth home win in a row this season. Before the international break, coach Jürgen Klopp’s team won 3-0 (1-0) against FC Brentford, which had recently been in strong form, and thus moved past Tottenham Hotspur and, due to the better goal difference, also Arsenal FC, who were tied on points.
The Egyptian star striker Mohamed Salah (39th/62nd minute) scored twice for the Reds at Anfield Stadium and thus reached the mark of 200 goals in English football. Diogo Jota (74th) made the decision. Liverpool had previously been unlucky on several occasions. Two goals from Darwin Nunez were disallowed due to a narrow offside position.
The guests from London, who were still without their long-term suspended striker Ivan Toney, played well for long periods and had good chances, but did not take advantage of them. After three league wins in a row, Brentford slipped to tenth place in the Premier League table.
