Singer Lizzo is facing serious allegations. Another ex-employee has filed a lawsuit against her.

The excitement surrounding singer Lizzo (35) never ends. The musician has been sued again by a former employee. This is reported by both “NBC News” and “The Hollywood Reporter”. Accordingly, fashion designer and stylist Asha Daniels filed a lawsuit against Lizzo and other members of her team in Los Angeles Superior Court on Thursday.

These are the new allegations against Lizzo

Daniels, who worked as a designer creating outfits for dancers on Lizzo’s tour, alleges in her lawsuit that she was subjected to bullying, sexual and racial harassment in an “unsafe, sexually charged workplace culture.”

Daniels thus supports allegations from an earlier lawsuit that was filed by several dancers at the beginning of August. They accuse Lizzo and her team of sexual harassment and body shaming. They also allege that the artist created an “extremely toxic and hostile working environment.”

The new charges explicitly target, among other things, wardrobe manager Amanda Nomura. She allegedly called the dancers “fat,” “useless” and “stupid” and forced them to change in front of male crew members who “stared at them indecently.” writes “NBC News”. The lawsuit also states that Daniels was fired after she complained about Nomura to Lizzo’s tour manager Carlina Gugliotta.

Threats, bullying and denied breaks?

The “Hollywood Reporter”, which also has the indictment, reports that, on the one hand, Nomura made statements and carried out physical actions “to threaten the plaintiff and the entire crew.” She also monitored and controlled the team members under her supervision and “often denied them breaks.”

In the new lawsuit, the allegations relate to Lizzo, her production company Big Grrl Big Touring, and Nomura and Gugliotta. According to The Hollywood Reporter, designer Daniels says she suffers from anxiety, migraines, head fog and persistent fatigue as a result.

Just a “publicity stunt”?

A spokesman for Lizzo called the renewed lawsuit an “absurd publicity stunt.” On Thursday – the day the lawsuit was filed – the musician was set to receive a humanitarian award from the Black Music Action Coalition. “We will give the matter as much attention as it deserves. None,” the statement continued.

Lizzo denies allegations

The allegations made are in sharp contrast to the artist’s previous image, who always presents herself in her songs and in public as a fighter for body positivity, social justice and sexual self-determination. She responded to the massive allegations at the beginning of August via Instagram with demonstrative disappointment and denied the accusations.
