Loir-et-Cher: a man indicted for a murder in front of a bar at the end of June

A 25-year-old young man was indicted for intentional homicide and placed in pre-trial detention after the murder at the end of June of another man in front of a bar in Mer (Loir-et-Cher), announced Wednesday July 6 the prosecutor of the Republic of Blois.

“A dispute over a sum of money”

According to the magistrate, on June 29, in this town located 20 km from Blois, an argument broke out between the attacker and his victim “for a dispute over a sum of money“. One of the two protagonists then carried to the other “a blow or two blows with a sharp object to the chest“.

The victim, who died in the street after chasing after her attacker, presented “two holes in the heart“, detailed Frédéric Chevallier. Arrested at his home, the respondent gave a version of the facts which was not corroborated by the first elements of the investigation. His police custody was then interrupted following his admission to care under duress, by order of the prefect of Loir-et-Cher.

Police custody was able to resume on Tuesday, when his hospitalization was lifted, before his presentation before an investigating judge and his indictment for intentional homicide, said the prosecutor. Placed in pre-trial detention, the young man had already been convicted of acts of violence with a weapon in 2020.
